Menstruating women in Nepal are considered impure and polluting during their periods. To combat the stigma surrounding menstruation and provide access to eco-friendly menstrual products, Sparsa was established. In March 2024, doors of the Sparsa pad factory in Bharatpur was opened –a dream turned reality after years of dedication, research, and innovation. The project includes the design and construction supervision of the building, featuring rooms for pad production, fiber mattress storage, and office spaces. Additionally, a dedicated solar panel has been installed for power backup.
